"If ignorance of nature gave birth to gods, knowledge of nature is made for their destruction." — P.B Shelley
@PsychMove Well, we get it but they should give outsiders some grace and sit this one out. We can't all feel sentimental about Mao as they do so we'd def express our shock on a harmless situation like the Mbappe one. The guy clearly had no malicious intent. Look at the ss...makes sense.
@baoyuechao1@PsychMove I'm atheist by the way. And yes I think that no idea or person is sacred thus shielding them from critique or even mockery equates ascribing god-like status just like the religious do. That's exactly the situation happening with Mao here.
BREAKING: Portugal bans burqas and niqabs in public places, with fines up to 4,000 euros.
Muslim men who force their wives or female relatives to wear one will also face 3 years in prison.
Burqas were described as a ‘symbol of women’s oppression and a threat to public safety.’
Christianity is so false that two churches can read the same bible, consult the same holy spirit, reach completely opposite conclusions, and somehow both be certain god agrees with them. 😂
Looking to score cheap points when you don't even know who an atheist is. Who you're a describing is a misotheist. Atheists can't blame gods since they don't believe in them. Also, let me add that assuming the existence of your god to make an argument ≠ belief in he/she/it.
I hope to see a lot more Ghanaians deconstruct from religion, so that they can stop living their lives in constant fear of a heaven and hell that don’t even exist.
So that they can hold other human beings accountable, no matter who they claim to be.
This "touch not my anointed" rhetoric only instills fear coupled with unwarranted submission to religious authority and reinforces the notion the average religionist has that they are beyond critique. That explains why they easily evade accountability for their actions.
sounds like a utopia before you realise there are practically no actual rapists according to islam because you need four male witnesses to the act of penetration to prove rape
Sexual assault is already severely underreported. The way the Obuasi case has been handled so far is troubling because it reinforces one of victims’ biggest fears about reporting sexual abuse: that nothing will be done. And it’s heartbreaking because other victims are watching and learning that speaking up may not lead to justice

In all these, I’ll tell you this for free. Be careful how you address men/women of God, whether you believe in their calling or not, you were not there when God was calling them. Also they are humans first.
Absolutely great idea!
It is not like we pay taxes which are supposed to be used for these things. Looking at the current health system, running healthcare solely for profit is a wonderful idea too. So many people could afford it.
Truly a genius!
Society’s obsession with forgiveness is one of the biggest contributors to abuse of all forms. Somehow the victim is gaslit into forgiving someone who wronged them but the same energy is never had for the actual abuser/perpetrator.
