I wanna share a quick story with you.

So, I was walking around town today and I stumbled upon this little bookstore.

And let me tell you, something about it just hit me like a ton of bricks.

I saw this old looking library ladder thing and the first thought that popped into my head was:

“The goal isn't Lamborghinis, it's library ladders”

The more I’ve seen material success through friends or Twitter, the more I’ve realized that it’s a slippery slope.

It’s cliché, but keeping up with the joneses is real. You will never have enough money if you are chasing for the latest gadgets and toys.

Would it be cool to drive fast in a lambo? Sure. Maybe for an afternoon but it isn’t something I want to make a habit of.

A fast car can take you places quickly, but it's not gonna help you go further in life. Nah, what I want is a library ladder.

Now, I know what you're thinking, a library ladder?

How is that gonna help me in life? But hear me out.

A library ladder may be simple, but it offers us something much more valuable: the chance to learn and explore. And it’s a symbol for something bigger than that.

With each step we take on the ladder, we're growing and learning more about ourselves and the world around us. And that's something a fast car just can't give us.

And even if you don't believe that, it's the symbol that matters more than anything.

Don't get me wrong, a fast car can help us reach our goals, but a library ladder takes us beyond them.

It allows us to go on a journey of the mind and heart, focusing on learning and finding out more about ourselves, rather than just having fancy things.

And that, my friends, can lead to a much richer life experience.

As we use the library ladder, we start to see the world in a bigger, kinder way. It's not about the destination, but the journey and the experiences we have along the way.

Choosing the quiet sound of pages turning over the loud engine can open up a world of lasting wisdom.

Now, if you're still with me, I wanna give you a simple framework for managing your material possessions:

FIRST, reflect on the true value and purpose of the possessions you desire. Ask yourself, is it really worth pursuing? Maybe you are really into Lambos and that’s your dream. For those people, I say hell yeah. For most though, it’s more of a status thing. And playing status games never has winners.

SECOND, prioritize what truly matters to you and focus on fulfilling those needs, rather than accumulating material items.

THIRD, give gratitude for what you have, acknowledging the positive aspects of your life.

FOURTH, give back to others, sharing your resources with those who may be in need.

And finally, seek balance in your life. Allow material possessions to complement, not dominate your life.

By adopting this framework, we can shift our focus from the pursuit of material possessions to a more meaningful and fulfilling life journey.

So, my friends, let's climb that library ladder and see where it takes us!!
