We sincerely regret disrupting your peace by rescuing you from xenophobia. Apparently, the government heard “our lives are in danger” and foolishly assumed getting you to safety was the priority. It should have understood that any rescue flight must come with two jobs, a furnished apartment and guaranteed prosperity upon arrival.

Ghana has difficulties, and rebuilding your life is hard. Nobody disputes that. But a rescue flight is not a flight to paradise.

Please forgive the government for its terrible miscalculation: believing you needed to be alive before you could work towards a better life.
