@doctor_LRB You're a doctor, you should know better than this. There are at least six viable biological sexes. Being inclusive isn't just about gender identity.
@NatashaMDay Yes, yes it is. Some trusts do better than others, but certainly the top execs nationally generally fit the middle aged white man picture.
@cybergibbons Used to live 2 minutes from there. It's a horrible junction anyway and everyone drives like a twat. Not the LTN's fault in the slightest.
@ford_brazel@hanstan2410 The whole point of the badges is that we never get to see what happens once a crew arrive. It's a nice way of making staff who are often left on the sidelines feel included in the call.
@danielelkeles@HSJnews@Ldn_Ambulance Genuine question - if you believe that this explanation of terrible waiting times is good and helpful, why were the media allowed to take away misleading shots of green calltakers and low waiting times on Tuesday?
@virtuallysoph Like I was explaining it to my family, it's not just pay, it's funding - more funds mean yes, increased pay, but also better staffing, better resourcing, more capacity, ultimately better care.
@clifford0584 @paranerdash Yes, it does, and at the moment there is more risk in the community that needs distributing. Both amb and ED hold a lot of risk, what really needs happening is moving it further through the system.
@DrLindaDykes Not suggesting it's all the patient's/family's fault - sometimes the option to drive isn't there, or doesn't seem possible initially, so the call may have been perfectly justified - but at that point we hit (b) where control should have explored further with them.
@DrLindaDykes As sad as it is to see anyone waiting for a response, if they were able to drive in then (a) they should at least have considered that in the first place, and (b) control should have had an honest discussion with them about likely wait and suggested it.
@TheRealRead Not necessarily? In general I'd agree but I think there are some exceptions. Unconscious diabetic, perhaps? Once sugars are back up I've seen these discharged on scene plenty.
@chippa_chop We have a whole 5 MH response cars... and that's only on days that they're actually staffed! More like 2-3 usually. For the whole of London.
@chippa_chop Likewise for us! We were taking 7500 calls/day last week, yesterday we took 5000 and didn't send on most of them. Extra clinician triage for the ones that *might* need us. We had trucks sat on station most of the day!
@SteveMcfirerisk @chippa_chop @Ldn_Ambulance Last I heard LSMS was only an LAS position, not national? They also don't tend to deal with EOC issues, IME.
@Dr_DeanS@lazer7474@NWAmbulance "People are not calling 999 for cut fingers" reference please? Personal experience says yes they are. Not infrequently.
