Yes, there has been acts of violence against hindu minorities recently, done by extremists who want to create religious divide and unrest amongst the citizens fuelled by their own personal motives. Nevertheless, rumours are wildly exaggerated to portray hindu brutality.

Yes, acts of religious violence are a real thing and have been for a long time. It has always been caused by extremists blinded by some personal motif.
