At this point, all illusions that Trump’s America would help Ukraine have dissolved. But most people don’t realize how deeply the current administration is steeped in pro-Russian sentiment and activities.

Here’s a quick look at key figures in the Trump administration and their pro-Russia or anti-Ukraine positions:

- Donald Trump (President): Stopped aid to Ukraine and called Volodymyr Zelenskyy a dictator who “has no cards.”
- JD Vance (Vice President): Said the thing he is most proud of is stopping aid to Ukraine.
- Marco Rubio (Secretary of State): Claimed that weapons bought by the EU or Ukraine could be diverted to the Middle East.
- Tulsi Gabbard (Director of National Intelligence): Spoke strongly against Russia sanctions in 2022 and was a speaker at the 2023 Rage Against the War Machine event filled with Russia lovers and Putin sycophants.
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Secretary of Health and Human Services): Has spread bullshit about the 2014 Revolution of Dignity and blamed NATO for the war in Ukraine.
- Pete Hegseth (Secretary of Defense): Has skipped every Ukraine meeting and usually sends Elbridge Colby instead, who has wanted to stop military aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
- Scott Bessent (Treasury Secretary): Waived oil sanctions against Russia several times.
- Kash Patel (FBI Director): In 2024, received $25,000 from Russian Igor Lopatonok to produce anti-Ukraine and anti-Western propaganda.
- Steve Witkoff (special envoy): Said he admires Vladimir Putin and has developed a “friendship” with the Russian dictator.

The line is clear: this administration keeps siding with narratives that benefit Russia, while treating Ukraine like the problem.

Since launching the full-scale war against Ukraine, russia has killed at least 650 Ukrainian children.

According to the United Nations, more than 3,200 Ukrainian children have been killed or injured since the invasion began in 2022. These figures include only verified cases, so the true number is much higher. They also do not account for the thousands of children who have been abducted and forcibly taken to russia.

Russian terrorists must be stopped. Those responsible must be held accountable for the crimes committed against Ukrainian children.

This is infuriating.

I think about how these children feel. I put myself in their place. At their age, I already had a clear understanding of who I was and where I came from, what Ukraine is, and what russia is. From school I knew how russia tried to destroy Ukrainian identity for centuries. From my family I knew about the repressions, persecutions and harassment of Ukrainians by russians during Soviet regime.

Melitopol is a city with a rich Cossack history, it is a place of free people, it is a "Wild Field" where serfdom did not take root, and life was built through work and dignity.

Now the occupiers are simply burning children's brains with propaganda, trying to erase everything they knew about themselves. This is psychological rape, when a child is forcibly dressed in the uniform of those who came to destroy them. This is a deliberate breaking of the backbone of a nation in its infancy. Forcing children to be part of a military machine is an inhuman crime, the purpose of which is to weaponise them against their own roots. This is a methodical murder of a person, a crime for which there is no and cannot be any excuse.
