In 2021, a radar survey at Kamloops in British Columbia found “disturbances in the ground” and was taken as proof of a mass grave of hundreds of children.

The article explains how this interpretation triggered widespread reaction, despite the fact that “no investigation has been made of the site at Kamloops and no bodies have been found there.”

I also have an introduction to the Industrial Revolution over on my blog, and the research I did to write it showed me that it’s a massive subject which cannot be condensed into goodies and baddies as easily as some would like.

Victoria Sponge Cake …with a twist! My own take on a classic where I flavoured the buttercream with orange flower water and layered in some orange curd as well. Did you know the original Victoria Sponge cake was a posh jam sandwich for picnics and afternoon tea?
