I agree with this. Why am I doing only Legal Method in First year. And why am I doing only 4 courses from Year 2 to 5?
Let's get it done on 4 years please. If possible, include Law school curriculum and we make it 5 years then do Call to Bar in University!!!
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to everyone who was unable to make it through the bar finals this time. I know the level of discipline, sacrifice, and long hours that went into preparing, and it makes the outcome even harder to bear.
It’s okay to feel disappointed. It’s okay to cry, to sit with the weight of it for a while. These moments are not easy, and they shouldn’t be dismissed. But do not allow this setback to define your journey or diminish your purpose.
Take the time you need, then gather yourself again. There is still a path forward, and this moment is only a part of your story, not the end of it.
Growth often comes through experiences like this, even when it doesn’t feel that way immediately.
Keep your faith, stay the course, and trust that your efforts will align with the right timing. What is meant for you will come, and when it does, it will be worth the wait.
Should the bar result be released, as a rule of thumb, don't ask anyone about their result unless they volunteer that information. And if they said they passed, say congratulations and keep it moving. You don't need to ask what their grade was, unless they volunteer.
I was in court this morning when a case was mentioned that stopped me mid-conversation with a colleague.
The defendant had reported himself.
Not through a lawyer. Not after a plea bargain negotiation. He just walked into the station three months ago, asked for the IPO, and confessed to obtaining money by false pretense from someone he had defrauded four years ago.
The victim hadn't reported it. As far as the police were concerned, no crime had been committed. There was no file, no complainant, nothing.
He created his own case.
When the prosecutor was narrating the background to the judge, even she seemed slightly thrown off. She kept her composure but you could tell this was not something she had encountered before.
The judge asked him directly, "You came to the police yourself?"
He said yes.
"Why?"
He said he had turned a new leaf and could not continue knowing what he had done to that man was sitting unresolved. He said he had already gone back to the victim privately and made arrangements to refund everything, but he felt that wasn't enough. That the law also deserved to know.
The victim himself was in court. He had written a letter asking for leniency. He said the money had been refunded in full and he had forgiven him completely.
The judge adjourned for ruling.
@AtseyePeter1 What's your metrics?
You had a man from your village as Governor but he wasn't considered "Useless" in your judgement o. God sees us all.
