Yes, it's fun.
But it is easier to correct any geometry if you model in groups. And it actually makes your model neat also.

Modeling with SketchUp can be intense

The scary part is:

If you make a mistake, you can’t easily correct it.

Since models are not parametric, you have to be fully aware of what you’re trying to do.

But it’s fun.
