#1 Tory Taylor fan. Once jumped out of the same pool as Jarron Gilbert. Well-Done Steak Aficionado. Recovering Pepsiholic. I say things on @DaTailGateShow 🐻⬇️
Remember when people were upset that Arob wasn’t extended? Fast forward - hes failed to hit 500 yards each of the last 3 seasons & somehow started 17 games in 2023 only to produce 34-280-0
And he’s going to try & rebound with Daniel Jones? 😂 #RIPArob
@StegNCheese Arm strength and processing speed led him to the 7th (even if he’s an easy story to root for). JJ was over drafted but big difference between these two as prospects let’s be fr
“the quality of players that ‘sometimes’ come out of the 4th round”
Sometimes OR a near cant miss ST who will frequently impact field position = Defense can be more aggressive & increase % the offense sees shorter fields (helps rookie QB)
Hester taught us field position matters
I love Tory Taylor as a prospect and a punter.
But even if he's the best punter in the NFL this season, he still won't be worth a 4th round pick
Instant reaction on @LockedOnBears:
“Hester taught us that field position matters” is a brilliant way to sum this up.
As a fan base who embraces the offensive side of special teams so fully because of Hester’s impact
We need that same mindset when thinking about Tory Taylor as a weapon for the defensive side of special teams
@jcarter54@StegNCheese I already answered that above. They’re a well run organization proven over 3 decades. Why would they be scared of anyone? Former, current opposing rosters etc it’s irrelevant to them being able to consistently hire, draft, & develop well - GB worries about themselves
JJ McCarthy & Dallas Turner cost Minnesota 2 first round picks, pick 129, pick 157, pick 167, a 2025 3rd rounder and a 2025 4th rounder
That is insane
