Nigerian designers are top of the line and the rest of the world is too anti black to appreciate it. They overlook it, copy it and claim it but this level of brilliance can’t be matched.

Travelling through three states in one day and receiving news like this at the end of it is all the adrenaline I need to keep going. ❤️📸

I’m truly grateful to have won Documentary Photographer of the Year at the Visual Conference Awards.

Special thanks to the convener, @idaraadiakpan, and my partner, @iamabjames , for being part of this journey from the very beginning, correcting my mistakes, and celebrating my wins in this field.

I’m especially grateful to my late father, who bought me my first camera long before I even became a photographer. Dad, you may not be here to witness this moment, but a part of this achievement belongs to you. Thank you for believing in me before the journey even began.

To my family, friends, and every Obidient who has cheered me on, encouraged me, and celebrated my work along the way, thank you. Your love and support mean more than words can express.

To our next president, @PeterObi, thank you for giving me the opportunity to tour Nigeria with you and capture the stories and moments that have now earned me this recognition. Every journey has been a story, and every image has been an opportunity to document Nigeria through the eyes of its people.

I look forward to the day we take this journey beyond Nigeria’s borders, touring the world with you when you become Nigeria’s president, documenting your engagements and the people you meet as you work to provide real-time solutions to our nation’s challenges.

This award is a reminder of how far I’ve come, the people who made the journey possible, and the stories I still have to tell.

Yesterday, mhen! Sometimes, as a young person, even when you’re tired, you can’t afford to slow down because right behind you is a 65-year-old man still running, regardless of how tedious the day has been. Don’t mind my torn jacket. Perks of the job💀. New Nigeria no easy😑

One of the things I learnt recently is that for a nation to progress, the government cannot do it alone, there are innumerable citizens who have incredible talent that can change the course of a nation.

This website is an example of that and certainly more to come…this is because Peter Obi’s person simply inspires people.

I don’t think Nigerians are lax, evil, or idiotic as many seem to claim recently…I think Nigerians are brilliant, courageous, creative …but we need inspiration…

Nigerians are inspired by Peter Obi’s life, his leadership style, his business records, his family, his time in government and are willing to go out of their way to help because no single person can fix such a complex country.

We all have to chip in…so chip in today by sharing this website.
