@ShimadaTiger@NovaAokami I don't stand by whatever insane chud cards they print nowadays, but the flavor text varies by rarity, in Japanese it's:
「不法入国者への監視の目は、バリっと輝いている。」
「不法入国者」should probably get a kinder translation for kids, but it's not a localizer's invention.
The demo for this game is incredible.
It evokes that hard-to-pin languorous vertigo of movies like 2046 or Limits of Control. It's a constant show of cinematic and literary experiments and technique. Bits of Borges and Cortazar and Camus.
Shaping up to be my personal GOTY.
It really clicked with me. The part about framing others' gazes as reinforcing and confirming the self rather than destroying or confining it was also especially good.
I've only owned Raku-ware and Oribe-ware tea bowls, but I was given an Ido-gata style bowl, and I adore it.
It's got very subtle, tactile ridges, and it's almost eerily light, like a seashell.
The warm of a prepared tea bowl brings me into the moment, and sets me at ease.
