Adam Hamawy travelled throughout the US with Omar Abdel-Rahman as he preached jihad, even appearing as a defence witness during his trial.

Abdel-Rahman was ultimately sentenced to life in prison for seditious conspiracy in 1995 and died at FMC Butner.
