Biconography

Leeds based photography project raising bi+ visibility and celebrating the diversity of the bi+ community

[Biconography @_Biconography]

This is running all weekend, let's raise some bi+ visibility and celebrate our community! Use #biconography to get involved or send them to [email protected] and we'll post on your behalf. If you prefer you can also join us @_biconography on Facebook and Instagram ❤️💜💙

We are back and running our 3rd lockdown photoshoot ❤️💜💙

Your organizers Emily and Quenby will be dressing up and sharing pictures of themselves looking queer as shit. We would love it if some of you get involved too.

Happy #BiVisDay ❤️💜💙

This isn't how any of us wanted to celebrate today, but more than ever we want to feel connected.

Thats why we ran a series of Bi-solation photoshoots through lockdown, and we put together a video sharing submissions.

Thank you @LeedsBiGroup. We’ve enjoyed this video very much. We had enough time to read all the quotes from these wonderful, vulnerable, great looking, and above all: Bi~conic people from Leeds and beyond. Your way to give to the Bi+ community makes us happy. Thank you! 💜💙

[Biconography @_Biconography]

For #LeedsVirtualPride, we put together a video of some of the fantastic posts you sent us during lockdown

#beautifullybisexual is trending in the UK and it’s wonderful to see many joyful faces.

There's some great bi+ content in this weekends Leeds Virtual @LGBTLitFest

[The Bisexual Index @bisexualindex]

@friends_dorothy We're delighted if he has changed his stance on bisexuals. Do please ask him for us, many bi+ people would love to have him as an ally.

[The Bisexual Index @bisexualindex]

This was some years ago, so we're happy if his views have changed:

“The worst type, I’m afraid to say, are the bisexuals. What it is, is people not wanting to admit they’re gay. Be honest: that’s what you’ve got to be.” #biphobia

[The Bisexual Index @bisexualindex]

Interesting to see Christopher Biggins returning to big LGBT events after he was socially isolated for intense biphobia a few years ago.

@friends_dorothy - hope he's sought education in the intervening time, otherwise he is no ally of Bisexual Elders.

[Biconography @_Biconography]

"Like many folks I found myself: excluded from the gay community, told I was sinner by my church and objectified by straight men if they found out.

I started to come out in my late twenties because of the support I found at work, through the LGBT staff network." ❤️💜💙

[Honey @ht_honey]

I thought I would share my nails for @_Biconography

Bonus pictures!

"The obligatory hat toss and screaming into the void as I consider the graduate job market I'm entering" 😂

[Biconography @_Biconography]

"Because of lockdown I didn't have the opportunity to go to a graduation ceremony when I finished my degree, so my girlfriend helped me create some photos celebrating finishing my degree at home"

[Biconography @_Biconography]

I feel like a wise and venerable queer 😂#biconography

[Biconography @_Biconography]

2/2 Getting dressed up like I'm going to a Pride march, watching the amazing @BiPrideUK "BiFi Festival" and remembering there are others like me are out there and that we're all going through similar things helps. 💜

[Biconography @_Biconography]

1/2 With Prides and other queer events cancelled, and the majority of my contact with the bi+ community happening via Zoom, I'm finding myself struggling with feelings of isolation and loss of identity.

[Biconography @_Biconography]

"I use crafts to unwind during lockdown, I love my hand painted crop tops which show off my identity and my belly. This one has bi, pan, NB and poly symbols incorporated in the slogan. In case it was too subtle I also used mini bi and pan flags as hairpins." ❤️💜💙 #biconography
