One thing every nurse should learn early is that confidence is not the same thing as certainty.

The LASUTH vecuronium case is a painful reminder of that.

Even when you think you know a medication, check it. Read the label. Confirm the order. Ask another nurse if you need to.

There is no prize for being the nurse who was too confident to ask.
