Every day I am further convinced I'd rather die trying to lick a vaccine off the floor of the men's jacks in coppers than have to live the rest of my life surrounded by anti-vax*ers.
It's not in the public's interest for the State to violate the rights of citizens in an attempt to save money. That is firmly in the State's interest.
Particularly when that cost to the State is due to them initially violating the rights of vulnerable citizens, to save money.
Narrative framing:
"Society" can not be pursued legally or for financial justice. People protecting institutions which can be pursued will deflect all accountability by focusing on "society".
Payout. Apologise. Confiscate assets of guilty parties if you have to. Ban these parties from providing services to vulnerable groups. Do not force people into inadequate redress schemes or lengthy litigation.
