20’s | documenting my journey into Product Design, one day at a time by turning ideas into intuitive and usable experiences. building: @echorepublik on IG.
Day 5 of my CAD journey 📐
Learned geometric constructions:
• Circle – all points are equally distant from the center
• Arc – a portion of a circle
• Polygon – a closed shape made of straight sides
These are the building blocks of engineering drawings.
There’s a scene in Breaking Bad where Walter White’s wife realizes he’s made $7.5 million and says:
“There’s no way we can wash this money through a car wash. No car wash in the world makes that kind of money in a year.”
That line hit me. Because it exposes a truth most people ignore: How much you earn is capped by the kind of business you run.
You can work harder, stay longer, even get smarter - but you’ll never make more than what your business model is designed to carry.
As a young Nigerian, unreliable electricity has affected my productivity more times than I can count.
I decided to turn that frustration into a UX case study

A SolarSetup Assistant that helps household understand their energy needs and get recommendation
Day 4 of my CAD journey 📐
Learned about lettering and drawing layout.
• Lettering makes drawings clear and readable.
Drawing layout includes the border, title block, drawing area and dimensions.
• A well-organized drawing helps others understand the design easily.
Imagine a unified digital experience where accessing your Nigerian Services like international passport, NIN registration and more, all happens securely in one place.
I designed AccessNG, a unified system built to streamline public infrastructure, simplify applications, provide feedback and put citizens first.

A thread 🧵
Your 20s are not for a soft life. It's for the grind. Get your curiosity up, get your energy up, go and ask for the best opportunities and set yourself up for a life of ease in your later years.
In Nigeria today, getting into tech is no longer as accessible to beginners as many people assume.
A newcomer today needs a laptop, internet access, electricity, and enough financial breathing room to stay consistent while learning. In the current economic climate, that’s a significant hurdle before any learning even begins.
The opportunities in tech are real, but so is the cost of entry.
Talent may be evenly distributed, but access certainly isn’t.
That said, difficult doesn’t mean impossible. Every day, people are still finding creative ways to learn, build, collaborate, and break into the industry despite the odds.
The challenge before us isn’t just creating opportunities; it’s making those opportunities more accessible to the next generation of builders.
Day 2 of my CAD and Engineering Drawing journey.
Today I learned about engineering drawing lines:
• Visible lines
• Hidden lines
• Center lines
• Dimension lines
Day 1 of my CAD and Engineering Drawing journey.
Today I learned:
• What CAD (Computer-Aided Design) means
• Types of engineering drawings
• Basic drawing equipment and standards
I met someone from here at Beyond Conversation by Eric Gugua yesterday.
When we shook hands, he quickly said, "Even though you never made a post about how you'll be attending this event, I had a feeling I'd see you here."
Curious, I asked, "what made you have that feeling?"
He smiled and said, "I just knew this is the kind of place I can always find you."
Now it might sound like a mere observation.
But it speaks loudly about perception.
And begs the question—
"What kind of places and moments do people know they can always find you?"
When you answer that, answer also,
"is it at places of value?"
It’s so attractive when people apologise for responding late. or when they keep you in the loop so you don’t start overthinking. the skill of communication is very attractive. basic consideration these days, it stands out cause so many people just disappear and leave you guessing
I deeply admire people who can organise their thoughts perfectly in real-time conversation 😭
Meanwhile my brain only becomes eloquent after reflection and typing.
