Vfx ai was used. Not generative ai. It was used for the face swaps to blend lighting and skin tone most likely as well as composite the faces to match the features exactly.

For the record these kinds of tools are used in photoshop, blender and almost any other graphics program online.

It still requires human input. That’s the difference between gen ai and vfx ai.

They still got real people to stand in line in the chan seen. They just replaced the actors faces with Chan’s own.
