Omfg Japanese ppl need to take it easy with the shorthand. My General Manager set a meeting in my Google Calendar for a “ブレスト会議” and I was like wtf Boobie Meeting?!?
TIL ブレスト is short for ブレーンストーミング 🧠⛈
@DonQuijoteHI Fucking false advertising. Tried to use this on 7/1 at 00:45 and was told that the coupon is not good until 3am. Then fucking write that on your sign you fucking scammers.

@bunburyoudoujp It’s not the rules themselves, per se, but the way they are often weaponized specifically against foreigners. I was the only gaijin living in my apartment building and every time ANYONE in the building didn’t separate their garbage correctly, I got a personal, targeted warning 🙄
Dear @apple,
I don’t know what is going on with your damn keyboard, but I have NEVER in the 19 years of owning iPhones, had to backspace, retype, start over, correct words as much as I am now! And what happened to autocorrect!? Is that not a thing anymore? Please fix this!
Applied for an expedited replacement passport afraid that it wouldn’t come in time for my trip on June 1st. But it was delivered in 11 CALENDAR days?! Whoever’s running the passport office is doing something right 🫶🏻💗 @StateDept
@_bradramos@kaeruZangyo Eg, Alaska and Hawaii became states on the very same day, in alphabetical order. There was never an official 49 star US flag. It went from 48 to 50.
@theryanunderhil@kaeruZangyo On January 3, 1959, President Eisenhower issued Executive Order 10798 establishing the design of the 49-star flag. On August 21, 1959, President Eisenhower issued Executive Order 10834 establishing the design of the 50-star flag.
@theryanunderhil@kaeruZangyo Not sure where you got that completely made up factoid from, but Alaska became the 49th state on January 3, 1959, and Hawaiʻi became the 50th state on August 21, 1959 by two completely separate acts of Congress more than 7 months apart.
@rosetheglitchh@Dolfijnmanjohns I don’t actually use it in real life, but my late 20s black woman coworker says it all the time and it just seemed to fit here 🤣
