Not very efficient protection, but again, he ADJUSTED and tried. He never used her as a shield. That’s not what he did.

When backing up, you can conclude that his intent was to cower alongside his wife. When he saw her in front, he grabbed her to pull back but tripped, then readjusted to guard with his arms

He immediately started backing up and didn’t realize she was in front of him still. He did attempt to grab her. If his goal was to run, he would’ve done that. He tripped, then adjusted
