@Wilson__Valdez Cut them up, marinade them with baking soda for 30 minutes (rinse off after), then marinade again with seasonings/sauce you want to put on them (or a bit of rice wine and corn starch). You can then stir fry them, although watch the amount of oil you use (plus add garlic after)
@SashoTodorov1@Jesse_Brenneman I wonder why they didn’t import a candidate. It worked for New York and Hillary Clinton when she ran for the Senate seat there
@mattyglesias One problem with Pino’s claim is that he’s citing it for the top 1%, whereas the claim is mostly about billionaires. Using Top 1% would make it seem less because it’s mixing in a ton of people primarily living off high work income.
@rocks_lab I think I remember reading someone blogging about that. They said they had a “surprise” birthday party for him where they’d redone an adult themed cake as a rocket, and Musk had no idea
@agraybee Why did Lucas decide that Obi-Wan and Luke's desert robes were the Jedi Uniform? Luke never wears that get-up again in the OT after the first movie, b/c why would he wear desert clothes off-world?
@EricLevitz I'd be fine with it, as long as the government is a mostly silent partner occasionally selling shares and collecting dividend payments. I would be opposed if it was constantly meddling in the business operations to try and favor politically connected constituencies.
@DKThomp We really need an all-out anti-aging medical push (a War on Aging or such). There's probably some way to do it - we know that embryonic cells can shed aging damage from the parents at a certain point in fetal development.
@StatisticUrban Once you start thinking that defeat is near certain, it becomes hard to get anyone but the crazy partisans to show up to lose over and over again (whereas you'd think the party would just try moderating instead to win).
@loudmouthjulia We might finally make some progress on Alzheimers, now that we're not waiting time on a research dead end with it anymore (like we did for the past 20-30 years).
@KelseyTuoc@AndrewCurran_ If it's a tax, you can just give them the option to pay in cash or stock. If they want to pay cash, they can - and then the government can turn around and buy out shares in the stock.
@sohamncheese I remember back when then-massively popular movies came out, people camped out and waited in really long lines to get tickets and seats. I waited 6 hours in a line for a Star Wars opening night showing, and I wasn't even remotely the first person there.
@thinkingshivers The small-time Retail Investor Cultists. If your stock is publicly traded, you can hype it up to immense valuations among that crowd (and draw in speculators and gamblers hoping to profiteer off those folks too).
@Timodc I wonder if the folks around Trump front-running the announcements to make money are just changing up their tactics. Everyone expects Trump to make a peace deal announcement now only for it to get thrown out, so instead they're trying to front-run the failed deal announcements.
@BlackLanterrn@daveweigel If you go back and look at the letter that sparked this, there’s only like one public health official among the names. It’s mostly just random doctors and professors
