Any other salmon scientists out there going deep on what’s now possible with agentic AI workflows? I’ve been working on some tools and I’m looking for collaborators! https://t.co/YkQxL8dRfj and https://t.co/3Mz4qtA09x
Migration timing affects fraser sockeye foraging ecology due to highly variable food availability for juvenile salmon during a challenging phase of their early marine migration. Important for cumulative effects. @HakaiInstitute
We explored the #ForagingEcology of juvenile #SockeyeSalmon during their coastal migration and found various diet profiles that reflected spatial and temporal patterns in environmental and prey conditions and stock migration timing

Great time at the @yearofthesalmon Synthesis symposium. Highlights for me are: the urgency required to find solutions, the diversity and inclusion agreed as necessary, promising new technologies yet data mobilization remains a key barrier.
Got my amazing copy of the Pacific Salmon Field Guide. What a wonderful resource thanks to the work of experienced researchers @SeanCGodwin and #MartyKrkosek. The illustrations by #JosephTomelleri are truly stunning and helpful, especially for identifying juvenile salmon! Get it!
#AFS152 was a blast. Nice to see some old colleagues, explore Spokane, hear tons of great talks, and even give 2 talks myself about Data Integration @HakaiInstitute and @yearofthesalmon. So long snd thanks for all the fishy ideas.
So who else is attending #AFS2022?? I just got in to Spokane. Nice looking place so far. I’ll be speaking Thursday morning in the Data Integration Session. Excited for a few days of fish talks and exploring the city!
Reproducible Data Assembly! Love it. @DFO_Pacific @DFO_Science needs this capacity. Accessing data collected with public funds by federal scientists would be much easier if the PIs/Research Scientists had this kind of help/capacity.
