At @SolidusIPD, we decided early on that this was unacceptable.

On a $2 million branch project, that means you should statistically expect to spend $2.5 million.

I've been in this industry for over 20 years. I've watched bank executives and owners get blindsided by change orders again and again. A project that was "affordable" becomes a board conversation no one wanted to have.
