Wow! On Sunday I received one of the best emails of my life - I've been accepted into the Microsoft MVP program for the first time ever!
I've always admired other MVPs, and to achieve it now for doing what I love doing every day, and a huge honour.

@oferzelig For every handful of hostages that are being returned by Hamas, Israel are releasing hundreds of women and children prisoners of war. How can you not be outraged by the knowledge of how many innocent people have been captured and locked up by Israel over the last many years?
@oferzelig The family of Shiri Bibis has confirmed it WAS her body
How many Palestinian children have IDF murdered during this war?
ALL deaths in this are tragic! How can you watch the threads being made to the ceasefire and not be alarmed?
@nadindadev Personally, I've decided to pursue a formal assessment so I can unlock the potential for medication which could actually be a life changer.
@nadindadev Such a hard question to answer, I'm going through exactly this now.
I think it's a really personal decision to make, based on what benefits YOU think you would get out of a formal diagnosis (or formal confirmation of not having it).
Keen to see others thoughts on this too
@nickhoward@svelte I'm building a very simple front end for searching for items from an API and then displaying results and completing bookings - so basically half a dozen screens and no complex logic. So I thought this was a great use case for it.
I'm diving into @svelte face first - so far I like how simple it is, perfect for my current project.
But I have to admit, this mixture of syntax is jarring for me.... a combination of #, : and / just for an if/else statement.
@nickhoward@svelte It's very lightweight and other than the aforementioned oddness, I like the straight forward syntax. Very similar to Vue so far, but I'm yet to really dig deep with it
@lukasf0rst@github I guess it's similar to when we shifted from not having the internet to having it. Once upon a time we relied on books and peers that we physically worked with to learn new things ๐ณ
It's very exciting times!
You know what'll be real spooky this season? ๐ป ๐Missing out on the DDD Melbourne 2025 CFP submission date!
CFP closes tomorrow - Friday, 1 November 2024 at 11.59pm.

(Sound on for the best experience!)
@LottieFiles Hey Lottie, looks like your player JS has been compromised! Can you take a look at give us an updates as to resolution? We've had to turn off all Lottie players on our site for now.
@davidfowl I started building with Azure Service Bus for the first time yesterday and already had the shock of "there's no local emulator??" ๐ณ So this is music to my ears and phenomenal timing!
@AmazonHelp So now we have to do that to the two other devices that we have that randomly died. It's sounding like you rolled out some broken firmware and don't seem to be talking about it anywhere, could this be? Why else would 3 out of our 4 devices suddenly go down and require resetup?
@AmazonHelp How about we do this publicly to help others with the same issue, huh Amazon??
So we just finally decided to do a setup of one device, by going to the app, going to one of the devices and following the instructions to enter setup mode. It seems to have fixed the issue!
