@AusPolMate@AntonyGreenElec Double dissolutions can't be triggered within 6 months of House election being due. So last possible date for a DD to be triggered is January
I cannot believe Labor will wimp out on this. If this is true it’s the way to please no one by trying to placate everyone. Yes a social media ban is welcome but this gives the lie to @AlboMP calls to honour Peta Murphy MP’s legacy

"We really believe for a mother to feel she can send her kids to school by bike safely, without being afraid, that's something that's going to have an impact on the freedom of those children and the freedom of the mother as well." - Montréal Borough Mayor Laurence Lavigne Lalonde
BREAKING
For months the Labor government has been misleading the public on its role in the two-way arms trade with the State of Israel.
Now we have a picture of an Australian-made DroneGun being used by an Israeli soldier.
And a picture of Albanese holding the same weapon.
A Lake Macquarie mother says her son is lucky to be alive after being hit by a car riding home from school. It’s prompted a new campaign for more footpaths to improve safety for school kids. Tonight, we speak to the mother and another family whose son was killed at Warners Bay.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Dudley screening of The First Wave last night! 🌊
We are getting so excited for the 2024 People's Blockade! Are you joining in November?
It was a wet one on Sunday morning but that didn't scare away any Hunter unionists for this year's May Day rally in Newcastle. I joined with the mighty Rising Tide calling for a just climate transition in solidarity with our region's workers.
In today's Newcastle Herald. It's so important that the state government's transport-oriented development proposal benefits people and not developers. That means the government must guarantee at least 15% of the developments will be affordable housing, as proposed by the HCA.
I’m running for council again because right now it’s more important than ever that we add a Green voice to our council. We need to give locals more of a say in planning a green and sustainable city, with better access to public and active transport, parks, and affordable housing.
🎉We've launched our campaign to win in Lake Macquarie!🎉
It was great to be joined by Greens MP Abigail Boyd in Charlestown on the weekend to officially kick off our campaign for the council elections.
On Saturday I joined a group of Hunter Greens for a community beach cleanup at Merewether. Despite the beach looking clean we still managed to take away a large haul of rubbish including cigarette butts, plastics, and cans.
Sad to see two-term Greens councillor John Mackenzie stepping down from Newcastle Council but looking forward to working with the next generation of Newcastle Greens councillors to continue our work building green and sustainable councils in the Hunter. https://t.co/jCrVq8K4wk
It’s time to rein Coles & Woolworths in.
The Greens will introduce a bill to give the consumer watchdog the power to breakup the big supermarkets.
Everyone’s had enough of the price-gouging & profiteering, while ripping off workers, customers & farmers.
So we’re taking action.
It was great to join the folks at Save the Myall Road Bushland for Clean Up Australia Day this year. I got to immerse myself in the diverse plant life of their local bushland. Only a Greens voice on council will work to protect our rapidly disappearing suburban green spaces.
