Senator Panfilo Lacson said on Saturday he would scrutinize the Philippine National Police's use of its taxpayer-funded hospital for high-profile detainees, questioning what he called a familiar pattern of influential figures being hospitalized just as arrest warrants are served.
Lacson spoke as former Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Senator Rodante Marcoleta remained confined at the Philippine National Police General Hospital following their arrest on Sandiganbayan-issued warrants in a plunder case involving alleged anomalies in government flood control projects. Bonoan also faces graft charges.

The Philippines now owns China according to DAILY TRIBUNE’s own imaginary 9-dash line.
According to Tribune scholars, since China claims Taiwan, and Taiwan is just north of Batanes, then by extension Batanes owns China.
The Philippines will also rename the entire island as “Big Binondo.”

🚨LOOKING BACK AT WHY ATTY. VIRGIL LIGUTAN JOINED THE PROSECUTION TEAM FOR THIS IMPEACHMENT TRIAL:
: “What really motivated me to join the private prosecution team is the story of a school principal who was ordered imprisoned for 11 years for pocketing ₱5,000.”
: “If we can send someone to jail for 11 years over ₱5,000, why can’t we remove from office a sitting vice president for allegedly misusing millions of pesos in public funds?”
🚨 Atty. CJ Narvasa, the lead counsel for Sara Duterte today, has kept on objecting to the introduction of evidence by the Prosecution.
So far, nakaka 5 objections na sya na denied in less than an hour!
Wala pang nakalusot na objection.

Ang MGA TANONG dito:
(1) WHO RECOMMENDED THE DONATION?
(2) WHO APPROVED THE DONATION?
(3) WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE DONATION? The guy was not even a national athlete.
(4) ANO ITO? PURELY POLITICAL DECISION?
(5) THE CONDOMINIUM IS A GOVERNMENT PROJECT, THEREFORE THE FUND CAME FROM PEOPLE’S MONEY. What is the pressing reason for such a donation, courtesy of people’s money?

While most Filipinos know the story of Ferdinand Magellan arriving in the Philippines in 1521, far fewer realize there was a reverse story: Filipinos also reached the "New World" just 66 years after.
Filipino sailors (known then as Luzon Indios) were the first known Asians to set foot in the present-day continental United States when they arrived on 18 October 1587 in Morro Bay (present-day California), 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝟯𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱.
Nearly two centuries later, Filipino sailors became the first known Asians to establish a permanent settlement in what is now the continental United States. After leaving the Manila–Acapulco galleon trade, they founded the fishing village of Saint Malo in present-day Louisiana in 1763, more than a decade before the Thirteen Colonies declared independence.
Known as the Manilamen, these pioneers drew upon the resilience and survival skills they had developed in the Philippines.
They adapted to Louisiana's hurricane-prone marshes and mosquito-infested wetlands, built thriving fishing communities, and later ventured west, with many joining the California Gold Rush in search of new opportunities. Their story remains one of the earliest and most remarkable chapters of the Filipino-American experience. #America250 #science #technology #FilAm
UY PILIPINS! 🇵🇭🌸
I’ve been reading a lot of posts and discussions lately from fans and even casuals suggesting that BINI could be strong tourism ambassadors for the Philippines. I’ve even seen this conversation picked up by media platforms like @interaksyon, which shows that the idea is starting to gain attention beyond just fan spaces.
At the same time, there’s also this growing sentiment that maybe we are not fully maximizing the potential of P-pop yet when it comes to promoting tourism, especially when you look at how South Korea built the Hallyu strategy using K pop and culture to attract global attention.
This is not new either, there have been articles and studies over the years discussing how K-pop helped boost tourism globally and how similar approaches could be explored by other countries, including the Philippines. It feels like our government might be missing an opportunity here.
With the current success of BINI and the Pantropiko vibe, even being felt on international stages like Coachella, we have already seen how powerful that sound and identity can be. I have even come across comments and reactions from foreigners saying it instantly gives them that tropical island feeling, like it transports them to the Philippines.
As a professional graphic designer and a Bloom, I got inspired and decided to put together a rough design concept of the campaign, something still very early and very BINI coded in terms of energy and vibe, called "Uy Philippines."
The idea actually comes from the viral ‘Uy Pilipins’ verbal meme, something very natural and relatable for Filipinos.
‘Uy’ is how we call attention, react, and connect. Turning it into something like 'Uy Boracay', 'Uy Siargao', or 'Uy Bohol' creates a flexible and organic system that can highlight different places across the country. It is not meant to be overly designed or forced, just clean visuals, real landscapes, and something that fans and creators can easily pick up and make their own.
What is interesting is that beyond the campaign, it can naturally evolve into something more organic, playful and meme driven, like ‘Uy sweldo’, ‘Uy BINI’, ‘Uy traffic’, etc. Something that lives both as a tourism idea and a cultural expression online.
Sharing this here in case it resonates with you too. If you believe in the idea, maybe we can help push it further, repost, share, and make some noise on X. Also asking fellow Blooms if you can help boost this post so it can reach more people. 🌴✨
Also, if you are planning to use any of the images or build on the idea, I would really appreciate it if you could ask first. Happy to collaborate, and I am very open to suggestions and improvements as well.

Mga thunder na dumalo sa INC rally, na-SCAM!
Gutom na gutom sina nanay at lola… P100 pesos lang daw ang ibinigay ng mga protest organizers na maleta siguro ang cut!
I'm sorry but you can't really help but compare the difference sa tolerance ng mga pulis dito sa surprise rally na to vs sa ibang rally na may permit at ina-announce weeks in advance. Nasan yung mga naka shield at body armor lol

The CULT is testing the waters. They wanna find out if they can muster enough crowd to show a semblance of “people power.” Ang kaibahan lang sa people power ng aming generation in 1986 is that we were fighting a just cause - the end of a corrupt Marcos regime. Ang inyong reason for the “protest” ay ano? TO PREVENT THE FILING OF PLUNDER CASE AGAINST YOUR RABID DDS LEADER MARCOLETA? Very self-serving CULT objective!
CASTRO: HUWAG MAGPA-REGISTER SA ‘KULTO, KAMPON NG KASAMAAN’
WATCH: Palace press officer Claire Castro ended her press briefing on Monday, June 29, by urging Filipinos not to wish death or harm on others, saying such acts reflect the behavior of a “cult” or “forces of evil.”
“Ang bagong Pilipino ay hindi ipinagdarasal ang kamatayan ng kapwa. Ito ay gawain ng isang kulto, gawain ng kampon ng kasamaan. Huwag po kayong magpa-register sa ganiyang klaseng samahan,” Castro said. | @TristanNodalo
