A Japanese manga artist lost his entire Google account forever after he uploaded private files from an old comic he drew to Google Drive.

Google’s AI checked the files and flagged them as not allowed. He asked Google to review it again, but they rejected his appeal and banned the account immediately.

He can no longer access years of his private drawings and lost access to many websites and services that used his Google login.

The artist said this is very embarrassing and causes him a lot of trouble. He warned that it might not happen to people who always follow every rule, but others should be careful.

So Google is scanning files that people upload to its cloud storage even if they are supposed to be private. I wonder how long they have been doing this.

@Cloudflare DNSSEC did its job here - it refused to trust a bogus signature. The bug was at DENIC, not in the protocol. Thank you for being one of the few major supporters of dnssec

Three exciting things about sovereign usernames on Bitcoin known as @spacesprotocol

One cool thing about Utreexo is that you can "transfer validation" between devices. This QR code has everything you need to start a new node.

Imagine if you can sync a node on your computer, then load a QR code on your phone, and you just skip IBD completely on it.

Naming is about converting hard to remember/read data into human readable format. Names are digital assets and should be decentralized, there is no need for third party control. Self-sovereign naming is so valuable to the world that it is inevitable
