1. Many men DO actually do this.
2. That’s not necessarily saying that the one in question DID do this. Because he didn’t and doesn’t HAVE to. He’s rich enough to get away with murder in a country that worships money over and above everything else.
3. That’s not necessarily saying that he did NOT do it. Because we’re not privy to the workings of his mind, and he’s rich enough to get away with co-opting whatever as accused, in a country that would annihilate any other person who would dare to attempt half of the same. Real or fake, only privilege can protect people who present like he does.
4. He may not even be co-opting anything. Until he comes out to say it one way or another, we don’t know anything about his orientation. And it’s not our business, and it’s way past time that we finally understood that.
5. Regardless of any of the above, it’s time to understand that orientation/divergence doesn’t preclude oppressiveness/bigotry. Queerness doesn’t preclude misogyny or classism or any other ism.
6. Similar to point 5, activism doesn’t automatically mean righteousness. Many activists have been found to be unscrupulous. Feminists (as have been mentioned in association with the involved parties) are/will be no different.
All of this is to say that multiple things can be — and all too often ARE — true, but because we don’t know these people, we don’t know what IS true, save for the following:
-The madam in question is not a credible source, given her antecedents. She is unhinged and badly behaved, and she’s been behaving badly recently, including today’s nonsense. We must tell the truth.
-The oga in question is not, by reason of the above, automatically innocent of her allegations. We have had no reason to know his genuine position on anything that truly matters around her claims. We only know that he’s wealthy and clique-y, and that he doesn’t need us to defend him.
WE DON’T KNOW THESE PEOPLE.
Let those who want to be entertained be entertained. But feminists need to stay out of this brouhaha, and not unwittingly become useful idiots either way. This is not our fight.

Do folks not understand the meaning of HUMAN RIGHTS?
Once the individual is a human being everything that applies to all applies to them. It doesn’t matter how you feel or what your religion says.
