This is what the man people claimed sneaked unto Chairman Wontumi's concession to mine said as his testimony.
Where from this claim that this case was about someone entering the concession on the blind side of Chairman Wontumi and mining?
This testimony was not credibly controverted.
Again find the judgment and read it yourself.
Shameful, FIFA. @officialcafu played in four World Cups (1994, 1998, 2002, 2006) and appeared in three consecutive World Cup finals (1994, 1998, 2002), winning twice.
For the records, H/L Justice Audrey Kocuvie-Tay, the judge who presided over the Wontumi case was sworn in as a High Court judge on 16th September, 2020 by President Nana Akufo Addo. Ends!
I don't know why people like you follow me.
I'm fighting for the future of African children.
You're fighting for a rich man to continue poisoning African children with mercury and arsenic because of his gold mining.
We're not remotely in the same struggle please🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
“Chairman Wontumi told me on phone much earlier that he suspected the ruling would not be in his favour and specifically asked me to Appeal the judgement on his behalf”- Lawyer Andy Appiah-Kubi #TV3GH
If you campaign with these kinds of messages, you might lose even more badly than in 2024. Illegal mining is extremely dangerous and is making thousands of Ghanaians sick while also causing many deaths. People who deliberately put others’ lives at risk for their own selfish interests deserve life imprisonment. You should applaud the government for this decision.
Now that Wontumi has been sentenced, I really expect this government to strictly deal with people at the top who also indulge in illegal mining and fund projects!! Even if they are NDC, they must all be jailed! In all fairness
