I love how Zi studio posted this to show how hard Zi worked for this drama.
Yang Zi barely rested for 1 week (with events in-between) after filming the heir before joining the btba crew in Qinghai to film in 2025. More wins and awards to come 💪🏽

#TheHeir Love this OST that #YangZi and #HanDongJun sang together - the mv show such sweet chemistry & the romance has this comforting vibe to it. Read on a weibo post about a cute story HDJ shared about YZ during the screening event they had before drama premiered:
(I post it here)
Han Dongjun said he really looks forward to continuing to work with Yang Zi. For The Heir, 80% of the filming was done on location, with cast and crew staying in places like Huangshan, Hongcun, and Xidi ancient villages. Because of the high summer temperatures, there were a lot of mosquitoes and insects.
Yang Zi didn't ask for any special treatment. She endured the sun and walked through muddy roads just like the extras. The scenes involving ink pounding, ink mixing, and ink drying - she did them all herself. Sometimes after just one scene, she would be covered from head to toe in black ink.
But when Han Dongjun was recording the OST song "Distant Mountain" for the drama, he got stuck on a high note, his throat tightened, and the more he filmed, the more nervous he became. Yang Zi came in and didn't rush him at all. She simply said, "Dongjun-ge, relax. Just like the way you look at Li Zhen when you smile in the drama."
He finds working with Yang Zi very easy and comfortable. When she plays a stubborn character, her gaze is very strong, but the moment an emotional scene comes, that deep gentleness of hers emerges immediately - it's very easy to get drawn into the character's feelings along with her.
@catinforest I agree on you with this. I have been noticing this whenever YangZi drama airs! A downright nonsensical hate-driven take on her drama & to her! I cant wrap around my head why only her! she just any other actress thriving in a male-biased industry! Its never fair for her. :/
