LOOK: The Philippines-Palestine Friendship Association (PPFA) and progressive groups led a protest march on Kalaw Avenue in Manila to mark the third-year commemoration of the Al-Aqsa Flood on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The Al-Aqsa Flood refers to the coordinated attacks on Oct. 7, 2023, carried out by Hamas and several Palestinian militant groups on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah.

The groups said the attacks were built on decades of oppression from illegal occupation and settler colonialism by the Zionist state of Israel.

"The Palestinian resistance teaches us life. A life that is fought for, a life of freedom and dignity. It inspires all people struggling for national and social liberation, and therefore, we must support their resistance as if it were our own," the PPFA said in a social media post. | @nashvillena_
