Yesterday a woman was called out in church for not always kneeling down to greet the church shepherd and the elders,they said she’s always remaining standing while greeting them and they wonder why, her response is even her dad and husband she doesn’t kneel down to greet them and they’ve no issue with that so why should she come and be kneeling down to greet them?.

Every time I think I've unlearned patriarchy, I do something that reminds me I still have internalised misogyny. 😭 You really just have to keep unlearning.

Today, I called someone in my shortlet network about an apartment. They had their company logo as their profile picture, no personal photo. The moment I heard a woman's voice, I was genuinely shocked because I'd automatically assumed it was a man. I don't even know why.

Another time, I saw a child, about 5 or 6, walking alone around 10 p.m. My first reaction was, "Where is your mother?" Not, "Where is your father?" As if children only belong to women.

There’s a whole court in Ikeja,Lagos state dedicated to sexual offenses because of the rates of sexual abuse”Rosaline Omotosho court”when you go to that court you will hear horrific stories cos you will hear stories of 8months old getting assaulted and you still have to be neutral until the judge gives his decisions.

The police prosecutor most times sabotage the cases by not coming to court or bringing evidences against the accused, they will lie they cannot find the file or the witness and it’s so frustrating that’s why most victims don’t get justice.
