He generously donated 1 TON of maize seed!

🇺🇬 Tororo Municipality MP Shyam Jay Tanna says the debate over the Fresh Cuts tax waiver should focus on whether keeping the company alive could ultimately return more value to Uganda.

“The subject here is continuity,” Tanna told Parliament.

He argued that if Fresh Cuts receives the reported Shs20 billion loan waiver alongside the proposed tax waiver, the company could recover, retain jobs, buy from farmers and resume contributing taxes.

“But right now, there are multiple people who demand them, and let’s say we don’t allow continuity, will we even be able to recover these assessments?”
