A clip from Don’t Look Up, and then a real TV interview that just happened

[Bodega Baddie @CAMONGHNE]

Overwhelmed. People are going to suffer tonight, and for a long time, as superpowers use their land and lives as chess pieces to advance state power. Imperialism is an old sin with the same old consequences, no matter how much our planet ages.

"The real divide in this country isn't between people who are pro-mandate and anti-mandate, it is between the wealthy elite and everyone else." 👏👏👏

[Robert Reich @RBReich]

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the fact that corporations are raking in record profits should tell you every you need to know about inflation.

There are barriers protecting the war monument from errant pissers.

Interesting how tangible steps are taken to shield symbols of war, but not a damn thing has been done for residents subjected to hostility & honking— at least as far as I can tell.

I got this DM about protesting #OttawaOccupation, and this graphic outline an approach that’s fair & measured.

Be safe out there, counter protesters.

Again, the hypocrisy of trying to prevent this gentleman from displaying his sign is not a fluke or accidental.

This is the “freedom” movement.

@RacismBlows @Teresita_1111 @monicarooney @RiverWardRiley Yes, I do consider that harassment. Just because assholery is common doesn't make it great, nor peaceful. All I can say is, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. Again, not an either-or scenario, just different perspectives and experiences. I hope you can listen to all.

@RacismBlows @Teresita_1111 @monicarooney @RiverWardRiley Big white "freedom" van turning a street corner as I am crossing (walk light on), stopping close to me to yell at me for wearing a mask🤷‍♀️ we're not feeling very free, united nor peaceful here

[catherine🌿 @_catherineml]

@LauraOsmanCP @EricPel60897664 @cmckenney I live off of Kent in Centretown, personally heard the honking past 11pm (fell asleep to it) and they started up again around 8am (with a few before that).

Civics being only a 0.5 credit high school course was a mistake.

@MPeters74 I agree with lifting restrictions and I think the convoy is connected with unacceptable views! Is that too complex for you?

[Hayden King @Hayden_King]

In response to Indigenous land rights movements, O'Toole committed to making it illegal to participate in infrastructure blockades, introduce legislation outlawing them all together, and removing charitable status from groups that support those actions.

In case you thought #DontLookUp was just about US politics, Trudeau’s still telling Canadians we need the comet money to stop the comet 🥴

So in the middle of the night I got lost in this girl’s tik tok who dumpster dives at Whole Foods. She finds so much perfectly good food that didn’t even expire yet.

UPDATE: @KelloggsUS says it’s permanently replacing most of 1,400 workers who went on strike over a new system that cuts workers' pay & benefits.

This is despite record profits during the pandemic & employees working 80+ hours/week. Here are some Kelloggs brands to keep in mind
