I’ve had some talented groups attend events in three+ years with @PrepBaseballCA but the group at #FGTMalibu was simply the deepest, most talented group I’ve had.

These players stood out with their overall performances, but make no mistake the talent was deep beyond them

Westlake has two terrific sophomore baseball players in 6-foot-4 first baseman Dylan Lee and 6-5 catcher Holden Backus. They're going to be hitting lots of home runs over the next two seasons.

Really like the direction Backus is trending
Added 10-15 lbs of strength on impressive frame
Swing has cleaned up - more direct while still showing impact
Smooth w/glove on receive & agile in block
Arm is a real tool
Must see in ‘28 class

Probably the most honest and truthful assessment you will hear on Trump’s State of the Union address.

I’m aware Ezra Klein is an acquired taste for some, but don’t let that get in the way of listening to the truth.

With thanks to the New York Times Opinion desk for the clip.
