i immediately go silent when something upsets or hurts me. it's a coping mechanism i have developed over time. instead of expressing my anger or frustration, i simply withdraw and try to process my emotions in private.

Holidays are always a little harder without our loved ones that have passed on. I hope anyone that’s grieving or healing can hold space for those who aren’t physically with us anymore. It’s okay to acknowledge that you miss them and that it’s a bittersweet time of year 🤍
after losing a parent or anyone close to you, nobody tells you tears will start to fill up in your eyes out of nowhere. Nobody tells you that for minutes on end, your mind puts you back in that time and place of trauma and you feel it all over again.
Check in on those that are quick to help everyone else. Most times their experiencing some tough shit, but still choose to take care of everyone else instead.
