Trying to find a rich text set in the Caribbean to inspire my Year 6 class as our topic is Jamaica. Does anybody have any recommendations?
So many of the texts I’ve found have English main characters but I’d prefer a text that is more reflective of the race and culture.

I’m getting a puppy and everyone has said “ooooh a dog... next step will be a baby...”
The puppy is the end goal guys and gals.
Puppies are cuter than babies. Puppies are more fun than babies. Puppies require walks which keep you in shape and don’t destroy your body like babies.
