There are women who are almost impossible to impress because they’re content with what they have. The things that usually impress people don’t impress them. Your lifestyle won’t shake them. Your status won’t shake them. If you don’t have character, purpose, and good values, there’s nothing else to talk about.
I know I have said this thing before, there are certain things someone who loves you won’t let you do for them. People who care about you will not let you make detrimental sacrifices.
Your husband is the only person who ever loved you purely by choice.
Your family was already written into your story.
Parents loved you because you were theirs.
Siblings stayed because you shared blood.
Even your child is there because you’re the mother.
But your husband walked in as a complete stranger.
No obligation.
No duty.
No shared past.
He could have built a life with anyone else.
Yet he chose you.
Chose to grow old with you.
Chose to call you home.
That kind of love is never automatic.
It is a daily, deliberate decision to stay, especially when it’s hard.
So never forget to thank the man who still chooses you every single day.
“A lady never tells her age” girl just say your age, I promise you it’s not that deep. Let’s stop upholding patriarchal mindsets and feeling like our age is something we should be ashamed about and keep hidden.
A man brought his son to my office to apply for a job today.
Honestly, the way the father was holding his hand and speaking for him, I assumed the young man had just finished secondary school.
I collected his CV and was surprised to see that he’s a degree holder.
I looked at the father and said, “Sir, please go home and allow him to be a man.”
The father laughed and said he was tired of spending money on him and wanted him to start earning. When I told him he could leave, he insisted on waiting. I assured him his son was safe, and he finally left.
I attended to some visitors who were already waiting before calling the young man in.
I was genuinely impressed. His CV was solid, and after putting him through a few tests, I realized the guy is very sound.
I gave him my contact and told him to reach out if the job suits him.
Not even five minutes after he left, his dad called me.
He asked, “Madam, when will my son resume work?”
I told him, “This month has ended already, so it will be August.”
The excitement in his voice!
He immediately replied, “First thing Monday morning, my son will be at your office.”
I couldn’t stop laughing.
That father has clearly been waiting for this moment for a long time. 😂
When a man says he doesn’t believe a woman hasn’t had sex in months, it tells me more about his lack of self-discipline than anything else. It’s actually very easy to go without sex when you have hobbies, work, self-respect, and value your peace. Just because some people move easily doesn’t mean everyone does.
Phyno is incredibly cerebral. You can’t speak Igbo the way he does and rhyme it the way he does, using words most people wouldn’t even think of, without being exceptionally intelligent. His brain is hot.
If a man approaches you for a relationship and you say no, don’t go back asking him for favours. Have some dignity.
Some of you reject a man’s advances but keep him close enough to foot your bills, while making it clear he’ll never have anything intimate with you. Sadly there are always foolish men willing to keep paying, hoping you’ll eventually change your mind. Some of you are clearly not loved at home.
I’m sure I’d have lost my job right now if not for a moment of integrity last year
I’m so glad I didn’t grow up to be a money centered individual 😂😂😂😂
I’ll have been back to Ibadan now probably still struggling to get a job
Integrity will always pay😅
Some of you are attracted to women who beg you for money because you don’t know what to do with the ones who don’t ask you for anything else other than for you to be a decent human being 🤷♀️
I genuinely feel for Gen Z (I know the economy is hitting everyone, but they didn’t even enjoy those little good old days). When I was earning N350,000 per month it was $1,750 (at an equivalent Gen Z age). When my dear friend told us of her wedding in Abudhabi, UAE. It was an easy decision to make because the price was fair. I spent less than 200K on flight, 5 star hotel (we shared a room), food AND shopping. Bought the dress I wore on Asos for £16 and it popped. We genuinely enjoyed living in Lagos and experiencing other places as holiday.
Now it’s hard to get that same value for money here in Nigeria. There’s a spontaneity that comes with being young that this economy is stifling young people of. There are certain things you do in your 20s that will not have the same effect doing it in your 50s. Stop robbing people of it. Dear Government. Fix this country that we all love.
anytime i cheat on my tailor, i regret it. cos tell me why this fellow made a caftan for me that couldn't go past my head and is now gaslighting me that my head must have gotten bigger after he took my measurements???????
