@mattmbr @simondbarnes Another vote for odd lenses (mono vision). I couldn’t get on with varifocal lenses. Seemed to be the worst of both worlds and really affected my distance vision.

@Jontafkasi @AdamEdwards10 Yep. All doable though, with the will (and investment). Shame it didn't come to anything (as far as I'm aware), But at least I got paid to ride my bike all summer. :)

@AdamEdwards10 @Jontafkasi Feasible, yes kind of. Although brief to avoid impact on boat traffic was an issue for moving large quantities. Locks would need bypass pipes or pumps. Tunnels were more of an issue.

@Jontafkasi Back in the late 90s I worked for British Waterways and worked on a feasibility study into just that. Best time at work ever. A whole summer of cycling the canal network looking at constraints (lock flights and tunnels).
