so when and why did we as a collective decide you can only learn creative writing by "doing it." personally i find mystifying the learning process like that so unhelpful and intimidating
like why is it that for classical music we have systematic and sequential ways to teach people the basic technical groundwork from a young age in an approachable and habit forming way but for writing you just "have to write a book to figure out how to write a book"
