If you're defending the mass starvation of children in Gaza, then it's time to take a step back & look at your moral compass: "Surely it is impossible for us, as normal human beings, to watch children starve to death without making an effort to save them."

Update: a tank has taken position outside the church and the building opposite has been taken. The people inside have died. There are snipers at every window pointing into the church. Still shooting anyone emerging from buildings to use eg toilets. Still no food or water.
You disgrace yourself, @PennyMordaunt. My brother died of a drug overdose at his home. If he had access to a healthcare facility such as a safe consumption room - somewhere ‘safe and warm’ as you put it - in order to manage his addiction then he might well still be alive today.
The SNP gave Westminster the chance to stand with the UN and international community in calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in order to protect and save lives.
Sadly the majority of Tory and Labour MPs voted against this - they are on the wrong side of history.

There is an acronym that is unique to the Gaza Strip, WCNSF:
Wounded Child No Surviving Family
This acronym should be seared into our collective conscience, and haunt us.
We need an immediate ceasefire so no more children suffer.
When asked if Israel has broken international law, Keir Starmer says "it's extremely unwise" for politicians to make judgements on international law.
"I’m not going to get involved in that kind of exercise,” he says.
So why didn't that apply to war crimes in Ukraine?

I repeat my call for a humanitarian ceasefire in the Middle East, the unconditional release of all hostages, and the delivery of life-saving supplies at the scale needed.
Everyone must assume their responsibilities.
This is a moment of truth.
History will judge us all.
Stephen Flynn, leader of SNP in Westminster, becomes first leader to call for immediate ceasefire. He says it is to allow humanitarian aid to get into Gaza. The PM does not agree with ceasefire and repeats his support for Israel’s right to defend itself
This is Elizabeth El-Nakla. She is my mother-in-law. A retired nurse from Dundee, Scotland. She, like the vast majority of people in Gaza, has nothing to do with Hamas. She has been told to leave Gaza but, like the rest of the population, is trapped with nowhere to go.
I wouldn't be in the position I'm in without the support, guidance and encouragement from Liz over the years. Thank you for always being at the end of the phone, and always having an answer!
Personal News: As @nicolasturgeon’s Chief of Staff & Strategic Adviser over the last eight years it has always been my intention to leave government when she does.
Scotland is a net exporter of energy to the rest of the UK and we have massive renewable potential that will power Scotland and beyond in the years to come. We don't need expensive nuclear energy and all of the environmental risks that go with it.
Let’s be blunt - given how acute the economic crisis is, this will be tantamount to leaving many people without food and heating this winter. If the UK government won’t act to protect those most vulnerable, it must give devolved governments tax/welfare/borrowing powers to do so
