This is mad. The normalisation that rich people should have more political influence than anyone else is rotten, and clearly a massive part of why everything is broken.
I can’t get over this tweet. If it was shown out of context you’d assume they were celebrating an election victory but to be celebrating like this about a vote to continue child poverty. I feel like I’ve walked into a simulation.
The same failed cycle of rehashed policies that ruin lives & achieve nothing but making private contractors that run our border industry rich, on loop forever 🙄
The smart thermostat is better than the prior digital calculator-like mystery box that didn't seem to have a logical pattern to any of its functions, but that is a low bar to clear. Mechanical, please.
I recently got a new air conditioner and I cannot tell you how long the guy tried to sell me a smart thermostat.
"I literally want the dumbest thermostat you have. Mechanical if they still make them."
"But.."
"No."
i think if the new government is "strapped for cash" (it's not), it should abolish all the weird loophole shit the city of london gets. ancient freedoms by land and water are now modern corporate tax burdens. the remembrancer can remembrance how to get a real job
Dave Ward, "I can't think of any other country in the world that would just hand over it's entire postal service to an overseas equity investor" @DaveWardGS
Can the UK please stop selling our national infrastructure to overseas companies? Water, Rail, now Postal? Every privatisation has been a disaster. And if anything, the only next step should be re-nationalisation of our core infrastructure
The name of the dataset is called "the Pile." Couldn't make this up. All of culture boiled down into a shapeless gray mass that's forcefed back to us. "The Pile." Eat shit.
