I’m looking for a fun platform to post more of my casual housewife content. Do people still post here for fun? Everything seems so serious. Instagram feels overly performative and I quit TikTok. I enjoy posting on YT but it’s more formal over there. Thoughts?
Random ppl on the internet: “I’m a SAHM, and nobody has ever said anything bad to ME so that means nobody else is criticized for being a SAHM because it doesn’t happen to ME”.
When women say being home with their kids isn’t mentally stimulating enough, I think, have you ever heard of books or podcasts or YouTube? Cuz you can still become a learned, well-read genius w/o handing over thr care of your children if you really want.
@dovidfeldman @JulianaStewart_ @limitlessleila@carlaskaufel @MaddsenOphelia @_CynthiaThurlow It’s so important to be transparent in what your goals are. What is it that you desire to achieve? If it’s marriage & kids don’t hesitate to make that clear! Your time is precious ... don’t waste it on a parter not on the same page. 💛
This reminds me of how I get called “Karen” on Tik Tok by women who are only a few years younger than me (I’m only 2 years older than gen -z), simply because they disagree with housewives and traditional values. 🤦🏼♀️
It makes me so sad to see DMs on Instagram from 15-year-old girls saying, "F*** America."
Our education system is broken if that's what our young people believe.
@Riot_worsley Yes, youtube is a hobby. I also just came back from golfing today. I have my to-do list and I make sure to get through it. My focus is my home but I make time for other things. Everyone needs hobbies, even those who work outside the home.
The mindset of being on your grind at work, making money, is different from the homemaking mindset, and it's hard to switch back and forth between the two.
