@Melviniyke @ariyiB Exactly my point, pedri can't do everything alone if people around him don't know how to handle the ball. Newcastle firstleg was a great example, araujo put him in trouble lots of times. Vitinha too cant do it alone. Arsenal's defense couldn't do that for their midfield.

@damii_fash @ariyiB I never said it wasn't the midfields fault , go and check. But you can't blame them alone , cause the backline too could've done alot . In a scenerio where the midfield can't connect with the ball , the game dies? The backline can't do something? Can't be creative?

@damii_fash @ariyiB Cause the only people that could actually do something on the ball were those 2 in midfield. Their attack can do hold up play , nor were their counters good . And the defence didnt know what to do with the ball

@damii_fash @ariyiB I said they were 6v2 cause the 4 infront of the backline weren't pressing that backline at all ... 4 players Infront of rice and zubi and 2 behind them, all tracking them. Their aim was to block out the midfield

@damii_fash @ariyiB In situations where Pedri is heavily marked , they carry the ball more , even pass the ball more. Rice and zubimendi were literally 6v2. And yes, they're not as technical as pedri, that's why the defence has to help. The defence aren't good on the ball.

@damii_fash @ariyiB I never ruled out the midfield, however do not pet the defence. if it were Barca , pau or Gerard would make that run , scatter their press and structure, opening up the game. even by passing the ball more. I'm a Barca fan , watch Barca recently you'll see what I just said.
