2022 100m World Championship silver medalist Marvin Bracy-Williams has received a 12-year period of ineligibility from USADA (his third anti-doping rule violation) effectively ending his competitive career. He informed USADA of his intent to retire on June 5th.
A first whereabouts violation carries a one-to-two year ban. Because this is Bracy-Williams’s third violation, the rules mandate an increased sanction between eight years and a lifetime ban. USADA determined 12 years was appropriate based on the circumstances. Also, it runs consecutively after his prior sanctions.
Three whereabouts failures within a 12-month period while included in USADA’s Registered Testing Pool:
• July 1, 2025
• February 24, 2026
• April 1, 2026

McLeod admitted the anti-doping rule violation and accepted the sanction.
His period of ineligibility runs from 28 May 2026 to 27 May 2028, while all results from 1 May 2026 onwards have been disqualified.
