@BrianMcWilliams@Zigmanfreud 1) She’s been trained her whole life by 3 professional baseball players - hardly a shining example of meritocracy.
2) I’m all for the best players getting the best opportunity in the leagues organized for them.
@sweatyb13@Zigmanfreud That added snottiness is a big reason why this shouldn’t happen. It’s not a level playing field especially at 12/13.
Boy beats girl = he’s punching down
Girl beats boy = boy is embarrassed
@tubamorg@Zigmanfreud That girls have played before has no bearing on whether it’s right or wrong.
But the your part is right and that’s why boys should play boys and girls should play girls. ✌️
@tubamorg@Zigmanfreud “Generally recognized” isn’t an argument. And she’s not “playing up” that’s like if there was a 10-year old boy playing 12u. She’s “playing across” and I think it’s wrong if that’s a one-way street.
@LtGenScott The assumed result shouldn’t dictate policy.
People are talking about Rasmus because she was dominant. So since she’s good should she be banned as opposed to the 20 other girls who were bottom-tier players?
Just play against your gender - problem solved.
@LtGenScott The problem with that is consistency?
Can boys play in the softball league? (the answer is no)
Can boys play on the high school volleyball team? (nope)
How about the WNBA? (lol)
Either there aren't gender-specific leagues or there are, you can't pick and choose.
