@ParamountPlusAU@Sui1977 How is this good enough? Football supporters pay good money to watch four matches a month, and seemingly at least one has a critical technological error during it.
@Rory_Flanagan Crazy, back in the day [2015] it used to be part of the Bargaining Agreement between PFA (players) and the league (last line of part 2)... amazing to think things have gone backwards since, rather than forwards. https://t.co/HG1HRW3n1V
@M1D3V But also need to be smarter - know what works in each location. Friday doesn't work particularly well for CCM due to transit etc. But Friday nights do work for ADL - there was a season where there were 9+ home games and they drew massive crowds all year.
@M1D3V This minimises overlap (15mins approx) but doesn't eradicate it. No evidence to support but surely not many ALM supporters are sitting down to watch one game, wait 30mins of pre-game show for the next to start, then the full next game. We need to accept clashes in my opinion.
@c_verdicchio@FootballSouthAu@JosephCarrozzi@TheRealBozza Spot on Christian, it’s now time for the governing body’s internal & “independent” DCs to step up to the plate and back this campaign. No more wishy-washy handling of issues because it’ll mean uncomfortable convos with the clubs. Been too many swept under the rug this year, sadly
@matty_mays@DimitriPeppas_ Aware Roma Mitchell pitches were uplayable, but there was already 9 matches scheduled on Main Pitch even before Roma Mitchell pitches were deemed unplayable. Images attached.
@FabianGaruccio@sir_alex52@HarryMacDougall@dylanarvela WNPL Reserves is not “the top tier of women’s football in the state”, as has been claimed. It is not professional, it is not PPS. There is no pro/rel. It is a development league. For players, match officials alike. Abuse of MO’s at all levels is unacceptable, but especially here.
@FabianGaruccio@sir_alex52@HarryMacDougall@dylanarvela Correct, WNPL Reserves. The Assistant Referee was a 15 year old in her first season of refereeing, learning her craft - just like the players. I was at the match, watched two open goals missed amongst other errors - which are part of learning. Why hasn't Alex tweeted about those?
@adamOsaussies @drt15@aleaguemen@MelbourneCity@wufcofficial Adam, respect your strong views about Pro/Rel etc and agree with lots of what you write on the subject of the closed ecosystem. But given the current state of play and this being the ALM Grand Final, the phrase “cutting off nose to spite one’s face” is what springs to mind.
@DimitriPeppas_ 😂 That being said, credit has to go to Football SA here, they make sure that Senior Men’s matches don’t clash with AL fixtures, and from memory when the GF was here a few years ago no games could clash. Understanding the bigger picture 👍
