REPORT: "Some close to Jalen Hurts feel that the Eagles did not support him enough when some constructively insightful stories came out this postseason about some of his deficiencies on the field...No one spoke up publicly on Hurts’ behalf as they did [Carson] Wentz [back in 2019]."

So wait, Smitty is gonna have more yards and touchdowns than AJ when the Eagle’s offense now is gonna be like the Packers where they haven’t had a 1000 yard receiver since Davante Adams in 2021??? 🤔🤔🤔

#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts addressed the A.J. Brown trade, the ESPN story from April about him, his contract and other topics today:
On the A.J. Brown trade and Brown saying they weren’t as close, but that he wishes him all the best:
“I’m not in the place to challenge anyone’s perspective on anything, seemingly so, it was. That’s where I am. I’ve always been focused on the collective. I’ve always put my energy towards that. As a leader, I’ve always put an onus on giving maximum effort to achieve the shared mission we have on the team.”
Any disappointment with how it ended for A.J. with the Eagles:
“You come into it and you have a sense of pride with how it began, and definitely what we were able to accomplish. … Nothing can take that away. For the great things that we did, now it’s time to focus on achieving great things with this iteration of the team.”
On the ESPN story that characterized Hurts as being resistant to change, among other things:
“I’ve never really asked for an opportunity to respond to anything. So just let it live and go do my job.”:
On if he asked for the “four verticals” last play of the season, as reported in the ESPN story:
“Nah. No.”
On his being resistant to change:
“I’m always open to growth. I’m always open to improving. I think a lot of it is what do we put our time on task? What are we exhausting? What are we repping. And so, I’m looking forward to seeing how training camp goes so we can just continue to build on the foundation that we’re beginning to lay down.”
On his contract and if there is a restructure coming:
“For me, I’m truly focused on being the best I can be right now. That’s where my energy is. There’s a lot of change as is. I’m focused on this offense. I’m focused on building with Sean [Mannion] and being my best.”
@Twatch_Me_Workk While I don’t think it was premeditated, I think the jury took into account from witness statements, when he was confronted, you heard a “touch me and see what happens” while having his hand in his backpack with the knife. That right there makes you think. Defense failed him tho
The knife Karmelo Anthony allegedly used to fatally stab Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet wasn't illegal under Texas law, detective says.
Details: https://t.co/yJ1BXK5Z42
Austin Metcalf pushed Karmelo Anthony first. That has been repeatedly confirmed by the prosecution’s witnesses. Today, a witness also said Metcalf became irritated and asked Anthony to leave the tent multiple times. That same witness also said Metcalf put both hands on Anthony’s shoulders and pushed him.
🚨UPDATE🚨
For context, 4 out of the 6 teens that testified today were black.
Teen 3 said Austin Metcalf told Karmelo Anthony he was not going, "to fight you at a track meet, dude."
Teen 4 said Austin never got to grab Karmelo because Karmelo stabbed him so fast.
Teen 6 said said Karmelo's vein in his arm was visible and it appeared he was grabbing something from his back pack. That something ended up being the knife that was used to kill Austin.
The Daily Mail also is reporting that all the teens testified and said Karmelo was asked repeatedly to leave the tent.
