Two weeks ago today, I admitted that politics has not been working for you and that we all need to raise our game.
I meant it.
So here's just some of what we've announced in the first fortnight:
✅ New national drive to end rough sleeping
✅ Tax cut on energy bills
✅ £2 cap on bus fares in England
✅ Record numbers of NCA officers deployed to tackle gangs behind small boat crossings
✅ 20% cut in business rates for thousands of pubs, clubs, and music venues
✅ Number 10 North, driving power out of Westminster and into every postcode across the country
✅ 14-year-olds will have early access to technical education, skills training and connections with employers
✅ Plan to fix our broken social care system
✅ Investment in our nuclear deterrent, supporting 22,000 apprenticeships
✅ Local mayors will get a share of income tax
This is just the start. I know a fortnight does not fix a country.
But I said I would do things differently, and I am.
Imagine the queues for the ticket office closer to kick off later.
You had all summer to bring this in and test it in a friendly but you’ve waited until the last hour.
Utter shambles @LFCHelp
This is from 2013. The scandal was obvious back then to most right-minded people but not deluded Chelsea fans who kept chanting the name of #Abramovich from the stands (and, shamefully, still do)
As always, please don’t use Seatwave, viagogo and all the other shitey robbing bastard sites. Today was only a pre-sale. General sale is Friday and there will be some extra dates added. Please don’t pay over the ticket price to these. Cheers!
You don’t get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labelling our anti-racism message as ‘Gesture Politics’ & then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we’re campaigning against, happens.
My love for Rafael Benitez is unconditional. He’s a Liverpool legend but he’s also a champion of this city. I won’t wish him well at Everton but no problem with him going there - this is his home. If they can put history aside & get behind him he’ll make them a proper team again.
