@KikiMegami but I also think a lot of it is changing demographic, like Morning Musume used to be a group people listened to as kids or preteens, but the kids are not listening to idol music, they're listening to K-pop, K-pop inspired J-pop groups, and anisongs on youtube

@KikiMegami that is true, Spotify is beginning to become more of a thing here (though also still not as ubiquitous as in the US, Japanese Spotify also lacks a lot of features that American Spotify has, Apple Music is much bigger, along with other streaming apps so I get why it's not a thing)

@KikiMegami I was in Harajuku yesterday and just marveling at how much it's changed. there used to be so many shops selling secondhand idol concert tickets, knockoff idol goods, etc. it's all shops oriented towards tourists, or official pop ups shops for K-pop groups now

@Archejoiyo I guess it's because they only had space for one line outside the doors and the goods table was in the lobby, once the doors opened, they let us line up again and buy stuff before the show started?? but it was so confusing
